avl interpreters has the experience and know-how needed to transcribe and subtitle your interviews, training videos, company presentations etc. into all commonly spoken languages.
In order to subtitle a video, the content of the original must first be captured. To do this, the video is transcribed using software before the output is translated by our skilled translators and then the text is formatted for the subtitles before being burned into the original video.
When subtitling professional presentations, it is also particularly important that the person entrusted with the task not only has very good language skills in the source and target languages but is also familiar with the subject area. For a perfect end result, the transcribed and translated texts are reviewed by the client before they are burned into the original video. The transcription and translation generated as part of this process are made available to the client and can be re-used for other purposes.
Voiceover refers to the overlaying of a sound recording or video with another sound recording.
Voiceover enables the content of the video to be made accessible, especially to a foreign-language audience, without losing the authenticity of the original. Initially, the original sound is recorded, transcribed and translated. The translated text is then recorded by a professional voiceover talent, chosen to align with the client's brief, and superimposed onto the original sound so that the latter can still faintly be heard in the background. If the original is muted, this is called dubbing.
In voiceover projects with demanding technical terminology, in addition to the experience and language skills of the person entrusted with the task, close cooperation with the client is vital. The client’s review and approval of the transcription and translation ensures that the client-specific corporate jargon is accurately captured.
